  • Your child may benefit from a myofunctional evaluation if they are 4 years or older and display signs and/or symptoms of an Orofacial Myofunctional Disorder (OMD) such as open mouth posture, tethered oral tissues, prolonged oral habits (i.e, finger/thumb sucking, extended pacifier use), have difficulty eating and/or drinking, and have persistent speech sound errors that have not resolved despite therapy.

  • Your child may benefit from habit elimination therapy if he/she continues to suck their thumb and/or finger despite your best attempts to eliminate the behavior. Habit elimination therapy is most successful with children ages 5 and above. The speech-language pathologist will schedule a phone interview with you to determine whether or not your child is ready to participate in his type of program.

  • No, at this time we do not accept insurance. However, we will provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. For more information on our pricing, click here.

  • You can start this process by calling the number on the back of your insurance card to see if speech-language therapy is covered. You will likely need a referral from your child’s pediatrician.

  • Call your pediatrician’s office to discuss your concerns about your child’s speech-language skills. You can also discuss these concerns with your pediatrician at your child’s next well check.

  • We provide home and community based services in your child’s daycare, preschool, or school. We are flexible and will work with you to determine the best location for your child’s therapy.

  • We will make a recommendation about the length and frequency of your child’s sessions after a formal evaluation. Sessions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes and may be recommended at a frequency of one to three times per week depending on the needs of your child and family.

  • Yes! We believe partnering with parents is the key to successful therapy. However, you are not required to participate in the therapy sessions. You are invited to join or sit in as you would like.
